AUSSIE TRAVELLER COOLABAH ROLL OUT AWNINGS

Features

DO YOU OWN A POP TOP CARAVAN?
Yes? One initial thing you should know about pop top caravans is that they are almost uniquely Australian in design and as such serious consideration should be given to the style of awning attached thereto.
The Coolabah Awning and Annexe has been made and designed as an ALL SEASONS not just fair weather AWNING. You don't have to roll it away when it's wet and windy.
The Aussie Traveller Coolabah Awning and Annexe is the only roll out awning product specifically designed to fit a pop top caravan.
All other styles are adaptations and present a variety of specific problems that need to be considered.
1. The Coolabah container mounted to the main shoulder of the pop top - a custom designed full length bracket is fixed to the main shoulder of the pop top van. This main shoulder of the pop top is the strongest fixing point available. Yes, the bracket, container and frameset clears the door opening. No part of the awning is fixed to the popup roof section.
2. All the major Coolabah awning components are housed in the container - the frameset of the Coolabah awning folds up under the container with no bulky arms down the side of the van or over the windows.
3. No ropes required - the frameset is automatically braced by our patented Retractable Crosswire System which negates any stress on the roof fabric. No other awning has this feature.
4. Roof Brace/Tensioning System - in the event of heavy rain and/or strong winds, the Aussie Traveller Coolabah Awning comes supplied with a Roof Brace or Roof Rafter System, which adds tension to the fabric and provides a hip in the roof to facilitate water run off and prevents flapping and, where necessary, provides clearance for the van door to open. It is not necessary to roll the awning away, except in the most adverse weather conditions.
5. Unique Patented Zip On Wall System - The rollout roof of the Aussie Traveller Coolabah Awning and Annexe comes complete with zips sewn on ready for the patented zip on wall system. One, two or three walls are capable of being added the time of order or at a later date. CONVERT YOUR ONE MINUTE COOLABAH AWNING INTO A FIVE MINUTE COOLABAH ANNEX SIMPLY BY ZIPPING THE WALLS ON.
6. An awning for all seasons - not just a calm sunny day - the legs of the frameset come with wire loops attached to peg the awning down. Terylene webbing loops are also sewn in at the corners of the roof fabric, if you feel further roping down is required. Provided the awning is securely pegged down, it will withstand all but the most severe weather conditions. With the walls zipped on and the addition of the optional poles beside the doors and windows to prevent the walls flapping, storms with wind gusts in excess of 100 kms per hour have been withstood.

Construction The Coolabah awning is the only roll out awning fully designed and built in Australia. It was manufactured to meet the wide variations of Australia's climatic conditions.
The standard sizes range in in increments of 1 foot (300 mm). However we are able to custom build by the 1 inch (25 mm) to meet your special requirements. We use an Australian made polyester (65%) cotton (35%) blended canvas for the roof fabric which is extremely strong, breathable, rot and mould resistant and waterproof.
The aluminium is extruded to our specifications by Capral Australia and the major components are clear anodised with the balance of the frame set normal mill finish.
A popular option is to have the complete container and frame set powder coated in either white or primrose to compliment your van/motorhome wall cladding.
The aluminium components combined with our patented Retractable Crosswire Bracing System provides an incredibly strong yet light weight awning system capable of being erected quickly and ease A variety of fitting brackets are available to cover most caravans etc and for those odd shapes requiring a custom built bracket, we are able to manufacture to suit.
A number of our customers had previously owned a standard rope and pole annexe, and because of the difficulties and time involved in erecting this style of awning/annexe they initially enquired to us for a quick and easy rollout awning only. However, when they saw the ease of adding walls to our rollout awning, they purchased a full annexe. This style of annexe/awning is generally of high quality and worth the investment of labour, time and, in some cases, potential divorce, if you intend staying in the one spot for any length of time, but is impracticable if you intend to be on the move or are stopping for a few days only.
Aussie Traveller's unique zip on wall system allows you to have the best of both worlds - a quick easy to erect one minute awning with the addition of walls in five minutes - to give you a full annexe. OR if you prefer, one blank end wall can be purchased which is capable of being interchanged to provide a wind break at the front or rear of the awning.
Once the ease of these features is physically demonstrated, many customers gladly purchase the awning plus the full set of walls. Let's look at a few other reasons why Aussie Traveller Coolabah Awning and Annexe would compliment your holiday.
